Hidden side of confidence and lack of it

Self-confidence is the ability to think positive and trust yourself. People with confidence believe in themselves and think they are able to achieve more.

1.Over Confidence

Unfortunately, when we speak of a self-confident person, most of us would think of someone who is smart, brave and who is completely in control of his or her emotions. Even though these attributes can be eventually developed by practice and experience, you don't need to maintain it at the same level in every aspect of your life.
Being overconfident and undermining your feelings is very contradicting to the actual confidence in the first place. Just think about your first date or the day you started to learn driving. Wouldn't it be wrong and dangerous if you weren't afraid at all? Isn't that fear, a natural and healthy feeling, coming from the fact that you don't have experience in driving or meeting a person from the opposite sex?
People who practice true confidence have learned to accept their feelings, keeping in mind that they can always do better. Being over confident would make people question their ability and judgement as they see the results, which may lead to lack of confidence in future.

2.Lack Of Confidence

On the other hand, there is this issue of inferiority complex. People suffering from lack of confidence have negative talks about themselves and their performance.
The problem of low self-esteem may not be a big deal for many. You may just learn to improve by a few tips that you read online. But having disadvantage of constantly feeling bad about yourself when you're around others is almost entirely different.

For people lacking self-confidence, life is like an unfair game. How would you be able to face your problems in daily basis without accepting yourself as who you are? In my opinion you can only be able to leave your life with satisfaction, if you could deal with this issue separately.
People with low self esteem, find it hard to speak out their problems. This would further lead them to hold back and create more negative experiences. By the way, you might not like it to be passive all the time, but you are likely going to regret it very bad for being aggressive, because most of the times, it only makes things worse.
The most painful part of this is if you lack confidence people will hurt you. There are times that people use this as your weakness to hurt you just because you have never been rude or stood up for yourself.
In case of people suffering from some sort of disability, others would be under pressure of being judged for abusing them. So they not only try to be nice to them and help them, they receive aid and extra care to compensate their disadvantage and have the chance to be their real selves. On the other hand, people with low confidence get mocked, bullied and made fun of and sometimes being harshly criticized for who they are. People raise their voice on them and treat them rudely because they find it easy.

3.Conclusion

I believe that people with both low and high confidence need help to be themselves in order to make rational decisions. Trying not to solve this issue openly will cause depression and anxiety. This issue is much bigger than we can see in our society. But it is not a problem that can't be solved. What we can do is to always teach people there is nothing wrong about their emotions and they need to talk to someone trusted or a professional to get help before it gets deeper.
